Reflexology

Centre for Advanced Medicine

What is reflexology?

Reflexology is a therapeutic modality that involves the application of pressure to specific points on the feet that correspond to different organ systems.

Who is it for?

Reflexology is often used to promote relaxation, reduce stress, improve circulation, and support the body’s natural healing processes. Any condition may benefit from reflexology.

What does treatment look like?

Reflexologists often assess the condition of the reflex points on the foot (e.g., tenderness or texture) to determine dysfunction in specific organ systems. They will then conduct a 30 minute session involving the application of pressure to specific points on the foot.

How does reflexology integrate with Functional Medicine?

A Functional Medical approach to reflexology involves using reflexology within a broader, individualized health strategy, emphasizing personalized care, education, and integration with other therapeutic modalities.
